Dappled and Dapper

Last week Kuntry Girl's mom came out to visit me and we had so much fun! Boy, did I get spoiled! I got lots of extra attention and got to show off, which is one of my favorite things to do.

I got a really good groomin'...here's Kuntry Girl clipping my bridle path. I overheard her telling her mom that she wasn't quite sure how I was going to react to it (this was her first time with the clippers), but I surprised her by being really, really good! I didn't really mind the noise they made; in fact it was pretty familiar! Seems to me, I remember having this done before...

Out of the two of us, she was the rookie! I think she did a pretty good job, though for this being her very first time clipping a bridle path! I think she was excited about it and especially excited that I was so good.

After that process was over, she went to work getting my tail nice and soft and detangled. Her favorite products to use are by Shapley's. For my forelock, mane, and tail she used the Magic Sheen and it made my hair so, so soft! She could not get enough of running her brush through my tail.

She first discovered this brand back in the late fall when I got a really bad case of sweet itch. See, she had just put down some hog fuel and unfortunately it had all sorts of darn gnats in it! I'm really allergic to these little buggers and my belly got all sorts of little sores all over it. In order to treat it, she used the M-T-G formula. It kinda stinks, but it sure did do the job! After that, she was sold! P.S. The M-T-G is also really good for hair growth. My forelock has already grown out a couple of inches from when she first got me! One of these days, I'll try to post a before & after picture. It really is great stuff. P.P.S. She immediately took out that darn hog fuel and replaced it with pea gravel. No gnats now. Plus, the pea gravel is good for my bare feet!

Once Kuntry Girl was done messin' around with me she let me eat in peace for a little while while she visited with her mom and took some pictures of me. Mostly, they talked about how pretty I am and what a good boy I am. It was enough to make a fella blush!

A little later on in the evening, we decided to show off a little for her mom. Here I am doing my signature Arab head toss. Everyone always thinks this is so cute, so I always like to throw a few into the repertoire.

This is one of our very favorite things to do in the evening. It's really fun to run around together. Maybe one of these days Kuntry Girl will get that big pile of compost mulch out of the middle of our "mini arena" so I can really use all the space in there. Then, she can stand in the middle and tell me what to do! I have a feeling she might enjoy this a little more than me. I like to just run around however I feel like!

Look! She can barely keep up with me! I can get going pretty darn fast!

C'mon Kuntry Girl, the light's fading fast!

Yep, I usually leave her in the DUST!

Kuntry Girl, I haven't got all day, I've got more showing off to do! Especially since your mom's got a camera pointed at me! I hope she got my good side...
