I don't need no stinkin' bath!

My Kuntry Girl is on my manure list. Do you know what she made me do tonight? Well, I'll tell ya.
First, she made me stand in a new spot to be groomed which was next to all sorts of really scary and annoying things.
Exhibit A:
I really, really don't like this green skinny thing. It was making all sorts of hissing sounds and I just know that it was plotting against me. Like I said, Kuntry Girl made me stand next to all of this stuff and even tried to get me to make friends with that green skinny thing. I don't think so.
Do I look like I'm enjoying myself here? Because I'm not. I think I made this plenty clear to Kuntry Girl, too.
You might notice that the way she has me tied up is a little "unconventional". Well, that's because I can be a bit of a booger sometimes and if I decide I don't like something, I just pull on my leadrope really hard. Of course, all that really accomplishes is me freaking myself out. So, especially when I'm learning something new she ties me up like this so that it's not too dangerous. She just feeds my leadrope through the brackets for the fencing. It kinda has the same effect as those blocker tie rings. There's still tension; I can't just walk off, but it also allows her to quickly react if I decide to get a little feisty.
So anyway, not only did I have to deal with all of this scary stuff, but I also had to deal with her wiping down my "gelding area" and belly with a wet washrag. Are you kidding me?! She said it was for my own good, but I don't know how that can be the case. I do not like having this done....but she says it's good to do between applications of my sweet itch salve. By the way, I don't like getting that stuff put on either. Then, she sprayed me all over with her marigold fly repellant...including those parts we just discussed. Why does she always have to be messin' with me?!

After she got done with me, I went running off towards my loafing shed, hoping that she wouldn't follow me for more torture. Well, she didn't and then I got curious. So I went back to see what she was up to. Even when my Kuntry Girl annoys me, I still really like when she comes out to visit with me and I can never ignore her for too long.
I should have stayed down there though, because she wasn't done with me yet! The mosquitoes were starting to land on me, even with my repellent on so she made me wear my fly sheet, which I really don't like. I mean, I can appreciate a winter blanket...that makes sense to me. But why do I have to wear something in the summer? In my opinion, summertime is all about being naked and free! Plus, if she's going to make me cover up like this, you'd think she could at least get me a cool looking sheet. I don't know...maybe one with flames down the side or something manly like that.
Instead, she got me this plaid mini skirt. All I need is a set of bag pipes.

What am I going to do with her?

P.S. Kuntry Girl says I better work on my 'tude because we're going to be starting work with a trainer tomorrow. I don't know what that is, but I hope it tastes good. I'll let you know what I find out.

  1. Oh Caspian! You are a ham! I mean a horse! I totally understand the tying thing, my Arab Brandy can't be tied much either, she pulls back all the time, so she hardly ever gets tied up. But I did finally buy one of those blocker tie rings, but the OH hasn't put it up yet.
I love your plaid mini skirt! I think it looks mighty fine on you! And remember, the mini skirt is for a good cause! You will be thanking your Kuntry girl, before you know it!

  2. Hehe Have fun with the 'tude adjustment! Just like when she "bugs" you I know you'll enjoy it. Even if you won't admit it! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the subject!
